Nanomelt™ ODT Technology
The concept of a rapidly disintegrating tablet to be ingested without water emerged from the desire to provide patients with a more convenient means of taking their medication. An Orally Disintegrating Tablet (ODT) dosage form, called Nanomelt™ has been designed to disintegrate rapidly in the oral cavity, allowing patients to overcome the problems of swallowing cumbersome dosage forms, which discourages many from taking their medication. In essence the Nanomelt™ dosage form combines the ease-of-use of a liquid formulation with the convenience of a solid oral dosage form.
